A jump into the future

Scientists from all over the world are studying the waters beneath the aragonese castle where it is possible to see the phenomenon of the ocean acidification. The phenomenon is caused by a high amount of carbon dioxide entered in the atmosphere and in our seas and water. In some areas of the island we can see it happening naturally because of the volcanic origin of the island. A lot of bubbles will be seen, created by a carbon dioxide spill from the sea floor. This area has a maximum depth of 10 meters and it's located just underneath the castle where it is possible to have a nice whirlpool!
